Essence Long Lasting Eye Pencil in “19 Hot Scorch” – Review & Swatches

I feel as if it’s been really long since I’ve not written a review for you guys. Blogging frequently was one of the top resolutions for me this year because; (a) I love it, (b) it helped me finding so many lovely people who are equally enthusiastic about beauty and makeup as me. So, no matter how crazy my weekdays are, Sundays Mondays are always here for a little blog post! :D Today, I’m going to talk about Essence Long lasting Eye Pencil in shade Hot Scorch. I’m a huge fan of coloured eyeliner pencils, I love how effortlessly prominent your eyes become with a single swipe of a coloured eyeliner. If you think the same, keep reading! :)

"Create a look that is fresh, daring and young with this long-lasting eye pencil from Essence. The soft and creamy texture together with the twist-mechanism ensures accurate and smudge-free application. From slightly highlighting your eyes to creating gorgeous stand-out eyes, this pencil will do the trick. To apply: we recommend using a single swipe for a subtle eye enhancement and pairing it with eyeshadow for a more dramatic definition."

This whole range of Long Lasting Eyeliners by Essence is worth praising, specially if you prefer twist-up mechanism. Honestly speaking, sharpening your eye pencils can get messy at times hence I personally prefer this packaging. This range of Essence Cosmetics Long Lasting Eyeliners has an array of beautiful shades. I purchased the one in black a while ago, they also have a teal one so the shade selection options are pretty satisfactory. Today, I’m talking about “19 Hot Scorch” – which is a beautiful bronze shade with a shimmery finish. The perfect pick for the times when you just want to highlight your eyes without drawing too much dramatic attention towards them.

The application of this eyeliner pencil is pretty smooth. The texture is really really soft, I actually broke my pencil a bit while swatching it on the back of my hand for you guys, therefore, I suggest you be extra cautious with it. After that one little sad mishap, I had been using it nonstop everyday and noticed no breakage or anything. The lasting power is decent. I applied it on my waterline and love the brightening effect it provided. On my waterline, it lasts for 3-4 hours and then fades away. On my eyelids, however, it lasts for 5-6 hours.

Over all, I think it is a pretty decent product. I love the twist-up mechanism and the shade is gorgeous too. I wish it could last a little longer on my waterline though since it looks super cool there and really opens up my eyes.
